A MAN has described the moment a 'dishevelled' stowaway was discovered in a woman's car roof box.
Mark Sherwood was in the carpark of the Calcot Sainsbury's on Tuesday, March 17, when he saw a woman examining the top of her car.

"A lady there caught my attention and was pointing at her roof rack, where there was a knocking noise", he said.
"She asked: 'does that seem normal?' and said she had just got back from France.
"I told her to call the police immediately."
When officers arrived, they opened the roof box and discovered that someone was inside.
Mark said: "He looked a bit dishevelled but he was ok.
"The woman said she had been near Mont Blanc and was stopping for some shopping on her way back to Bristol."

A spokesman from Thames Valley Police said: "We can confirm we were called to reports of a person in a roof box of a vehicle in Sainsbury’s car park in Calcot.
"This person was detained by police and was subsequently handed over to immigration officials."
