THE following cases were heard at Reading Magistrates’ Court:
January 30:
ANTHONY FITZGERALD-WILSON, 56, of Greyberry Copse Road, Thatcham, admitted possession of a lock knife i Wharf Street Car Park, Newbury, on June 4, 2019. Sentenced to 12 weeks in prison suspended for 12 months. Also ordered to pay £115 victim surcharge and £85 court costs.
STEPHEN BULLOCK, 44, of Brummell Road, Newbury, admitted criminal damage to a window in Brummell Road, Newbury, on December 28, 2019. Given a community order to comply with rehabilitation activity. Also ordered to pay £250 compensation.
RANJEET BHOGAL, 40, of Saxon Court in Thatcham, admitted drink-driving at the BP Garage in London Road, Newbury, on August 11, 2019. Found to have 154mg of alcohol in 100ml of blood, the legal limit being 80mg. Fined £350 and ordered to pay £35 victim surcharge. Must also pay £85 court costs. Disqualified from driving for 36 months.
KHALID KHAN, 20, of Cardigan Gardens, Reading, admitted drug-driving in Star Road, Reading, on September 7, 2019. Found to have cannabis in his blood. Fined £80 and ordered to may £32 victim surcharge. Also ordered to pay £85 court costs. Disqualified from driving for 12 months.
RYAN STRITCH, 43, of West Street, Newbury, admitted driving while disqualified in London Road, Newbury, on December 13, 2019. Also admitted using a vehicle without the correct insurance in London Road, Newbury, on December 13, 2019. Fined £160 and ordered to pay £32 victim surcharge. Also ordered to pay £85 court costs. Six points added to driving licence.
KEIRAN CLARK, 21, of New Town Road, Newbury, admitted stealing meat items worth £103.20 from Marks and Spencer in Newbury on October 15, 2019. Also admitted stealing meat worth £108 from Marks and Spencer in Newbury on October 16, 2019, and admitted stealing an Apple charging adapter worth £49.99 from John Lewis in Reading on October 19, 2019. Given a conditional discharge for 18 months and ordered to pay £21 victim surcharge.
January 31:
ROSEN ANGELOW, 38, of Blagdon Road, Reading, convicted of travelling on a Great Western Railway service in Reading without paying the £2.80 train fare on July 20. Fined £220 and ordered to £2.80 compensation. Also ordered to pay £32 victim surcharge and £160 court costs.
ADELE FINCH, 26, of Wordsworth Road, Thatcham, convicted of travelling on a Great Western Railway service in Slough without paying the £3.10 train fare on July 25, 2019. Also convicted travelling on a Great Western Railway service in Slough without paying the £9.60 train fare on June 21, 2019. Also convicted of travelling on a Great Western Railway service in Slough without having paid the £3.90 train fare on July 20. Fined £660 and ordered to pay £16.60 compensation. Also ordered to pay £96 victim surcharge and £480 court costs.
CALLUM HENEGHAN, 21, of London Road, Newbury, convicted of travelling on a Great Western Railway service in Reading without having paid the £6.90 train fare on July 26, 2019. Fined £220 and ordered to pay £6.90 compensation. Must also pay £32 victim surcharge and £160 court costs.
JAMES HOWE, 22, of Newtown Road, Newbury, convicted of travelling on a Great Western Railway service in Reading without having paid the £6.90 train fare on July 26, 2019. Fined £220 and ordered to pay £6.90 compensation. Must also pay £32 victim surcharge and £160 court costs.
LUKE ROBERTSON, 31, Princes Street, Reading, convicted of failing to hand over a ticket for inspection when in a compulsory ticket area in Maidenhead on July 24. Fined £220 and ordered to pay £7.30 compensation. Also ordered to pay £32 victim surcharge and £160 court costs.
February 3:
BIONDINO FAPPIANO, 37, of no fixed abode, admitted theft by finding by stealing a charity donation box from Reading Services Eastbound in West Berkshire on February 2, 2020. Also admitted stealing a cd, five boxes of chocolates and two pairs of gloves from W H Smiths at Reading Services on February 2, 2020. Also convicted of a further offence while subject to a suspended sentence for two charges of theft, three charges of making off without payment, ad handling stolen goods. Sentenced to prison for 12 weeks.
LEVI LAWRENCE, 23, of Kennet Walk in Reading, admitted being drunk and disorderly in Hythe Bridge Street, Oxford, on January 12, 2020. Also admitted commission of a further offence while subject to a conditional discharge order for offences of obstructing an officer and 'obstruct power to detain'. Given a conditional discharge for 12 months and ordered to pay £21 victim surcharge.
PAUL FRANCIS, 47, of Argley Street, Reading, admitted stealing £514.82 worth of clothing from GAP in Reading on October 30, 2019. Also failed to surrender to custody having been released on bail in Berkshire on November 14, 2019. Given a community order to comply with drug rehabilitation. Also ordered to pay £90 victim surcharge.
KEIRAN CLARK, 21, of New Town Road, Newbury, admitted stealing aftershave from Debenhams in Newbury on August 28, 2019. Given a conditional discharge for 18 months and ordered to pay £21 victim surcharge.
JASON MATTHEWS, 34, of Albert Illsley Close, Tilehurst n Reading, convicted of drink-driving in Grosvenor Casino car park in Richfield Avenue, Reading, on September 8, 2019. Found to have 57mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath, the legal limit being 35mcg. Fined £500 and ordered to pay £50 victim surcharge. Also ordered to pay £400 court costs. Disqualified from driving for 12 months.
AATIF ARIF, 33, of Northumberland Avenue, Reading, failed to comply with requirements on a community order by not attending unpaid work on April 11, 2019, and April 18, 2019. Sentenced to 12 weeks in prison due to 'wilful and persistent breach of order'.
February 4:
BRADLEY RICHARDSON, 21, of no fixed abode, convicted of possession of class B drug cannabis in West Berkshire on October 27, 2018. Also admitted failing to surrender to custody having been released on bail in Reading on February 3, 20202. Fined £600 and ordered to pay £30 victim surcharge. Also ordered to pay £775 court costs.
JAMIE JONES, 28, of Burbridge Close, Calcot in Reading, admitted stealing £39.50 worth of chocolate bars from Sainsburys in Thatcham on May 13, 2019. Given a community order to comply with drug rehabilitation activity. Also ordered to pay £39.50 compensation and £85 court costs.
February 5:
ANDREW FITZPATRICK, 53, of Gainsborough Road, Reading, admitted drink-driving in High Street, Theale, on January 17, 2020. Found to have 55mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath, the legal limit being 35mcg. Fined £700 and ordered to pay &0 victim surcharge. Also ordered to pay £85 court costs. Disqualified from driving for 12 months.
JAMIE WEBDELL, 35, of Avon Place, Reading, admitted assault of a police constable in Reading on January 1, 2019, and admitted common assault of a police constable in Reading on January 1, 2019. Given a community order to comply with rehabilitation activity and fined £400. Must also pay £150 compensation.
JORDAN BROOKER, 18, of Kennet Walk, Reading, admitted assault by beating in Reading on January 17, 2020. Given a community order to comply with rehabilitation activity. Also ordered to pay £100 compensation and £90 victim surcharge. Also ordered to pay £40 court costs.
BRANDON WRIGHT, 24, of Margaret Close, Reading, admitted assault in Berkshire on January 5, 2020. Given a conditional discharge for 24 months and ordered to pay £100 compensation. Also ordered to pay £21 victim surcharge and £85 court costs.
February 6:
TERRANCE TAYLOR, 57, of no fixed abode, admitted stealing 10 fragrances worth £422 from Boots in the Oracle Reading on December 7, 2019. Given a community order to comply with drug rehabilitation activity. Also ordered to pay £90 victim surcharge.
