A NEW date has been announced for Reading Half Marathon after the event was forced to postpone due to coronavirus.
The half marathon, which attracts runners in their hundreds each year, was due to take place early April.
Organisers have today announced the 13-mile event will now take place in November instead.
Race director Judith Manson said in a statement: "We are very aware that the coming Autumn is going to be a busy time for re-scheduled events, and so, today we confirm that the new date will be Sunday 01 November 2020.
We have been working tirelessly with our partners and key stakeholders to confirm the new date and want to thank all involved for their continued support, positivity and solidarity. All runners who have entered the 2020 race will automatically be transferred to the new date but we ask that everyone monitors the official race channels for regular event updates."
Entries will re-open soon at readinghalfmarathon.com
