EARLIER this week, Thames Valley Police (TVP) tweeted pictures showing that too many people in Reading were still making unnecessary journeys during lockdown.
On Wednesday (April 1), an updated post by police said that fewer people were about in the town centre, and that a homeless man had been located to be housed.

We asked our readers whether they are still seeing more people out than there should be.
The poll received 919 votes and the results showed 52 percent of readers voted for 'yes - I see people out in groups not taking the lockdown seriously'.
Whilst 48 per cent of readers voted 'no- it looks like people are now following the rules'.
One reader said: "This town is coming like a ghost town".
However, another reader said there had been "a lot more vehicle traffic in Winnersh in the last couple of days."
Also noticing the increase in people outside, one reader said: "Our park in Coley has a gym, nobody went near it until lockdown, now 4 to 5 men in there most of the day."
