A MAN has been charged after a burglar threatened a home owner with a carving fork in Reading.
Thames Valley Police said properties in Portway Close and Sycamore Road, in Reading, and Hayes Drive in Three Mile Cross were burgled.
During the break-in to the Portway Close home, police said the owner was threatened with the carving fork and had jewellery stolen.

All burglaries happened on December 3, 2019, and the force confirmed nobody was injured.
John Paul Thomas, 41, of Semington, near Trowbridge, was charged yesterday in connection with the break-ins. He was charged with one count of aggravated burglary and two counts of burglary in a dwelling.

Thomas was arrested on April 6 and charged the following day.
He appeared at Reading Magistrates’ Court today (8/4) and was remanded in custody to appear at Reading Crown Court on May 11.
