READING-BORN Ricky Gervais will be back on our Netflix screens later this month, as hit show After Life returns for a second series.

The comedian and actor has recently spoken out about his humble upbringing in Reading.
Speaking to The Sun, he explained how he was born in Battle Hospital, Reading, in the 60s.

He added: "I was the fourth child of an immigrant labourer. My dad worked on building sites all his life, until he was 70."
Promoting the trailer of the new series on Twitter, Netflix said: "The dog is back. @rickygervais is back.
"The genuinely gut-punching messages from his dead wife are back.
"It must be the trailer for After Life s2. Coming 24 April."

Dark comedy After Life debuted on Netflix last year, with Gervais as depressed widower Tony coming to terms with the loss of his wife.
The show attracted a big audience, and will be returning to Netflix on April 24.
