THE UK is entering its fourth week in lockdown and it doesn't seem like we'll be out of it anytime soon.

Many of us are dreaming of the days when we can meet up with friends and family again and enjoy doing the things we may have taken for granted such as going out for dinner.

So for when that day comes, we have listed the top five restaurants in Reading to visit for dinner after lockdown as rated on Tripadvisor in order of relevance.

1. Miller and Carter - The Oracle

Reading Chronicle:

This steakhouse restaurant received 4.5 stars on Tripadvisor with one reviewer describing the food as "delicious" and the service as "amazing".

2. The Elm Tree - Beech Hill Road

Reading Chronicle:

Also receiving 4.5 stars, one reviewer said: "Good food, excellent beers, roaring REAL fires what more can you ask."

Another described the place as a "gem".

They said: "Outstanding food, very chilled service, comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. "Muddy walkers and fancy date nighters welcomed which I love.

"Cannot recommend this place enough!"

3. Momo House - Farnham Drive

4.5 stars again for this restaurant where the food was described as "genuinely fantastic".

4. Cozze - Caversham Road

Reading Chronicle:

Cozze received 4.5 stars and one reviewer said the food was "incredible" and the portion sizes were "great".

5. Coconut Bar and Kitchen - St Mary's Butts

Reading Chronicle:

Located on St Mary's Butts, Coconut Bar and Kitchen received 4.5 stars on Tripadvisor with one reviewer describing the meals as "amazing".

Another said the cocktails were "great" and the service "fantastic".
