A DRIVER has been slapped with a £300 fine after being pulled over by police in Whitley.
Thames Valley Police said, despite the driver having a valid reason to be out during lockdown, they did not have insurance to be driving.

The force tweeted a picture from the incident and said: "It was an essential journey, but unfortunately you still need to drive legally."
Officers said the Toyota was stopped in Whitley - two months after their insurance policy was cancelled.
The vehicle was seized and six point added the drivers licence.

Police said he was fined the £300 and ordered to pay vehicle recovery costs.
