An old sign reading 'Chronicle, founded 1770', was among the Sean's belongings.
Paul said: "This was formerly in the entrance of the old Chronicle building in Valpey Street."
Sean will leave his home in Ashbury Drive, Tilehurst, for the last time on wednesday, May 6 at 1.30pm.
Paul said: "If any of his neighbours wish to wave him off from the home he bought in 1960, they are welcome to."
His family would like to thank Richard Ward and the team at West Berkshire Hospital for being with him at the end, when they could not.
Paul said: "He will be sadly missed by all his family and friends, and is being buried at St Michael's church, Tilehurst."
