ADORABLE pictures show children and staff at Jubilee Day Nursery this week, who have been celebrating VE Day.
Starting off with a street party on Wednesday (May 6), the staff and the children of key workers dressed up in either red, white or blue to symbolise the armed forces clothes or tradition 1945 clothing.

The children have been learning about the important roles the armed forces had as well as people who worked in factories and on farms.
They have also been enjoying cooking traditional war time recipes, with nursery chef Dawn making a special cottage pie and pear crumble for the tea party.

Everyone enjoyed playing traditional games like hop-scotch, red light green light, hide and seek, statues and football. To finish the week, the children will be making and decorating paper aeroplanes and union jack flags, as well as designing a VE day tea cup.
