TODAY is expected to be a day of celebration despite lockdown.
Streets are being invited to decorate their homes and sit in their gardens while maintaining a social distance to celebrate the 75th anniversary of VE Day.

Many have decorated their windows with Union Jacks, hoping to recreate some of the festivities that happened 75 years ago today.
Although the May bank holiday was moved to today in order to enjoy the anniversary, some plans have had be altered due to the lockdown, but that doesn't mean the celebrations stop.

Many have been baking 1940s treats to commemorate the day, as well as learning the lyrics to Vera Lyn classic 'we'll meet again'.
