MORTIMER fire station were called to deal with several cases of arson yesterday (Sunday, May 11).
They have also urged residents not to have fires close to the woods, after another incident at a camp fire started a fire.

The warning follows three separate incidents which took a total of four hours to bring under control.

The service posted to Twitter, saying: "Yesterday our Pump & landrover took four hours to bring three separate fires in Mortimer under control.
"One fire was started by a camp fire. The others being treated as arson, which @ThamesVP are investigating.
"Take extra care in the woods and do not have fires. @RBFRSofficial."
