A HOUSE being repeatedly taken over by anti-social behaviour and drugs has been partially sealed by order of a magistrates' judge – after neighbours raised concerns to the police.
The order on two homes in Wincanton Road, Reading was granted on Thursday, May 21, by Reading Magistrates' Court under Section 80 of the Anti Social Behaviour, Crime and Disorder Act 2014.
The local policing force applied for the full closure order and one partial closure order against the two properties following complaints of anti-social behaviour and drug offences.
The partial closure prevents anyone other than the specified persons listed on the order from entering the property for a period of three months.
Anyone who enters the house will commit an offence and would be liable on summary conviction to imprisonment, a fine, or both.
Thames Valley Police posted a tweet: "Reading Local Police Area was granted one full Closure Order and one partial Closure Order on 2 properties in Wincanton. These Closure Orders have been put in place with regards to drug offences and related anti-social behaviour."
