A MAIN Road was closed 'for several hours' today, following a serious car crash.
Traffic feeds suggest the crash happened around 5am this morning and a section of the A4 Bath Road, Reading, has since been closed by police for accident investigation work.

A photograph circulating online appears to show the wreckage of a car which has crashed close to the bus stop between Berkeley Avenue and Southcote Lane.
The road closure spans from the top of Berkeley Avenue and a section of the Bath Road roundabout, adjoining Southcote lane, and up to Parkside Road.

Thames Valley Police released a tweet, which said: "We are at the scene of a collision on the A4 Bath Road, Reading.
"The road is closed in both directions between Berkeley Avenue and Parkside Road.
"Closures are expected to remain for several hours.
"Drivers are advised to avoid the area."
Reading Buses has since tweeted, shortly after 3pm, to say the road has been reopened.
