A MAN was hit with a bicycle before being kicked and stamped on by a group of attackers.
Thames Valley Police said the attack took place at around 2.30pm yesterday, June 9, in Coronation Square, Reading.
The force said the victim was approached by a man who became aggressive and knocked him to the ground by hitting him with his bicycle.
Three further attackers then appeared, and continued to kick and stamp on the victim, aged in his sixties, while he was on the ground.
Officers said all of the attackers then fled the scene, two on bicycles and two on mopeds.

The victim was left with a broken leg, plus cuts and bruises from the attack and was taken to hospital where he remains.
Thames Valley Police have described the attackers as a white man, between 18 and 20 years-old, and between 5ft8ins and 5ft10ins tall, with dark hair in a ponytail and a full beard, of a medium build.
The force said the three other offenders were all also between the ages of 18 and 20 years old, with two of them being white men and the third was mixed race.

Investigating officer detective constable Marius York, based at Reading police station, said: “This was a frightening experience for the victim, who remains in hospital at this time.
"I am appealing to anyone who has any information about this incident to come forward.
