At around 7pm on Saturday June 20 Police and emergency services attended the scene of a terror attack in Forbury Gardens. Three people have died.
Multiple police cars rushed to the scene and cordoned off the area.
Police cordons continue to be in place and are likely to be for some time as CTPSE work further to investigate this incident and establish exactly what happened.

What happened in Forbury Gardens?
Thames Valley Police launched a murder investigation after three people were killed. Counter Terrorism Policing South East (CTPSE) have now taken charge of the investigation.

Was it a terror attack?
Yes. Police confirmed on Sunday morning (June 21) that the knife attack in Reading was terror-related.
The investigation is now led by officers from Counter Terrorism Policing South East.
Chief Constable John Campbell of Thames Valley Police said: "Incidents of this nature are very rare, though I know that will be of little comfort to those involved and understand the concern that this incident will have caused amongst our local community.
"I would also ask that the public avoid speculation"
Pictures show the dramatic moment a large number of heavily armed police officers raided a block of flats in Reading following a major attack in Forbury Gardens.
Multiple police officers with guns can be seen entering a block of flats off the Basingstoke Road, Reading.
It's not been confirmed the raid is linked to the attack in Forbury Gardens.
Was anyone arrested?
Yes. Thames Valley Police confirmed that officers arrested a man, 25, at the scene, who is now in police custody.
The suspect arrested over a terror attack in Reading's Forbury Gardens that left three dead is understood to have been named as Khairi Saadallah.

“We have made one arrest and at this stage we are not looking for any other people in connection with this incident," TVP said.
It has been reported nationally that the suspect arrested is Libyan. A source confirmed this, according to the Press Association.
Has anyone died?
Yes. Three people have died according to police. Another three sustained serious injuries.
TVP said: “A number of people sustained injuries and were taken to hospital for treatment.
There is a police cordon in place at Forbury Gardens and we would ask that the public avoid the area while officers are on scene."
What is the current terrorism threath level in the UK?
According to the MI5, the current threat to the UK (England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland) from terrorism is SUBSTANTIAL. This means "an attack is likely".
The latest changes to the threat level were made in July 2019. The single national threat level includes Islamist, Northern Ireland, left-wing and right-wing terrorism
But Thames Valley Police has said in connection to this incident in Reading: "There is no intelligence to suggest that there is any further danger to the public, however we urge people to remain vigilant and report anything suspicious by calling police."
Is this incident related to the Black Lives Matter protest?
There was a BLM protest earlier in the day. Speculation on this matter is irresponsible.
Thames Valley Police has confirmed the attack is not linked to BLM, and that it happened around three hours after the protest.
TVP statement said: “There is no indication that this incident is linked to the Black Lives Matter protest that took place in Reading today.”
Meanwhile, BLM organiser Nieema Hassan said: "They were very peaceful and we worked with the police liaison.
"In terms of the protest and the people who attended from Black Lives Matter, we're all safe.
"None of us are affected. We had all left by the time this happened."
Was it a stabbing?
Yes. There were multiple unconfirmed reports of a series of stabbings circulating for hours. Police have now confirmed they were called to Forbury Gardens, Reading at around 7pm following reports of a stabbing that had taken place.
What about the videos circulating on social media?
We are aware that several videos and images are being shared on social media at the moment.

Thames Valley Police said: "We would ask members of the public not to share images or videos of the incident on social media, but instead to report these to the police.
“We would like to hear from anyone who has video footage. Out of respect for those deceased and injured, along with their loved ones, please do not circulate this footage on social media – this will be incredibly distressing.
“If you have any information about this incident, please contact us on 101 quoting reference 1159 20/6.”
Has the Government said anything about Forbury Gardens?
East Reading MP Matt Rodda echoed the sentiment. He said: "My thoughts are with all those affected by the dreadful incident this evening and I want to thank Thames Valley Police for their response."
Home Secretary Priti Patel has tweeted about the incident, too.

My thoughts are with everyone involved, including police and emergency responders at the scene.
Council Leader Jason Brock has said it’d be deeply wrong to engage in speculation and asked people to stay away from the area, adding that Reading Council will support emergency services as needed.
Similarly, Labour Cllr Adele Barnett-Ward for Caversham has asked people to keep away from the area and let emergency services do their job at this time.
