GP surgeries across the country have been rated by patients as part of the 2020 GP Patient Survey and we can now reveal the top 10 surgeries in Reading and the surrounding areas.
The survey, created by NHS England and Ipsos MORI, looks at patients’ overall experience of primary care services and their overall experience of accessing these services.
Melrose Surgery on London Road, Reading, came in top with 81 per cent of respondents describing their overall experience as ‘very good’.
Whilst 18 per cent said their experience was ‘fairly good’.

It was followed by Lambourn Surgery in Hungerford where 72 per cent of respondents said their overall experience was ‘very good’.
Twyford Surgery came in third with 69 per cent calling it ‘very good’.
The number of patients responding to the questionnaires varies between each GP surgery.
Across the country, the latest survey consisted of around 2.3 million postal questionnaires sent out to adults registered with GP practices in England from January 2020 to the end of March 2020.
About 740,000 patients completed and returned the form, meaning there was a national response rate of 31.7 per cent according to NHS England.
