A VICIOUS attack which left a victim with life-changing injuries has seen a man be put behind bars for 10 years.
Martin Wilson, 58 of Elvian Close, Reading has been sentenced after stabbing a 38-year-old man nine times with a kitchen knife.

The terrifying attack happened on February 13 in Elvian Road, Reading.
The victim was left with life-changing injuries to his abdomen, arm and back.
Following the attack, Wilson was charged the following day on February 14.
A jury found him guilty by a unanimous verdict on Thursday, July 30, following a four day trial at Reading Crown Court.

He was sentenced to 10 years in prison.
Investigating officer Detective Constable Conor Hatton, of Reading CID, said: “This was a vicious and terrifying attack that Wilson launched upon the victim in this case, leaving him with life changing injuries.
“I would like to commend his bravery, dignity and his careful and considerate approach when giving evidence in court. To do this must have been a particularly distressing experience.
“Wilson is clearly a dangerous man, and a danger to the public. He will now serve a lengthy prison sentence where he can take the time to reflect on his actions, and the pain that it caused, and still causes to his victim every day.”
