REPORTS of a house fire in Woodley caused fire engines to rush to the scene yesterday.
The incident, which took place on Shackleton Way, Woodley, yesterday morning (August 15).

It was reported that three fire engines attended the scene, after a front bedroom of a home caught alight.
The fire was put out shortly after Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Services (RBFRS) arrived.

A spokesman for RBFRS said: "At 10:43am on Saturday, 15 August, we received reports of a fire at a residential property on Shackleton Way, Woodley.
"Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Wokingham Road, Wokingham, Whitley Wood and two additional Officers were sent to the scene.
"Upon arrival, crews found a fire in the first floor of a property.
"Four firefighters wearing breathing apparatus extinguished the fire using two hose reels and two people were placed in the care of South Central Ambulance Service.
"Crews were on the scene for approximately three hours and five minutes."
