1. Nibsy's
Nibsy's on Cross Street received 4.5 stars on Tripadvisor with one reviewer describing the food and drink as "delicious".
The cafe is 100 per cent gluten free and serves items such as lemon sponge, vegan cupcakes, quiche and dairy free muffins.
Another reviewer said: "Excellent choice of food and really friendly staff."
2. Picnic Foods
Located on Butter Market, this cafe also received 4.5 stars on Tripadvisor.
One review said the coffee and service is "excellent" and another said the coffee and cake were "superb".
Another said the cafe serves "good wholesome freshly prepared food and drink".
3. Shed
Shed was also awarded 4.5 stars on Tripadvisor.
The cafe serves sandwiches, toasties, homemade cakes, salads, soups and milkshakes as well as tea and coffee.
One reviewer said they had a "lovely lunch and great coffee" and added they have planned to go again.
Another said: "The best salted caramel shortbread in the world!
"Plus super yummy sandwiches and great coffee. I love this place, so happy I have found it!"
4. Tamp Culture Coffee
Tamp Culture Coffee received 5 stars on Tripadvisor and is located on Gun Street outside the Oracle shopping centre.
One reviewer said: "Great brand, cool vibe and even better coffee."
5. Cafe YOLK
This cafe received 4.5 stars on Tripadvisor and is located on Erleigh Road.
One reviewer said the food was "well priced, well portioned and absolutely delicious".
They added: "Cafe yolk is one of Readings hidden Gems, and well worth a visit. As a vegan I was simply spoiled for choice."
