1. Gurkha Royale Restaurant & Bar, Windsor (5/5*)
Rated a top score on TripAdvisor, Gurkha Restaurant is located in Clewer Hill Road, Windsor.
Every review left recently doesn't have a bad word to say about this restaurant.
One written only yesterday (September 12), said: "The food is fantastic, the staff are very helpful and nothing is too much trouble.
"I highly recommend this place, I will most definitely be visiting more often."
Another, which shows the popularity of the restaurant, reads: "Advisable to book this, it was recommended by the B&B we were staying in, we just managed to get a table.
"The food was amazing, very tasty, plentiful, a good portion. We were glad of the walk back.
"The price of the food was very reasonable for the quality of it
"I wish it was near my home!! Would recommend this wholeheartedly."
2. Spice Master, Reading (5/5*)
Closer to home, Reading's Spice Master is joint top.
Located in Hildens Drive, Tilehurst, Spice Master has also achieved a 5* rating in TripAdvisor.
One reviewer said: "Lovely restaurant, highly recommend to try this place out if you’re looking for a nice restaurant with tasty food and nice atmosphere.
"I have been to many many Indian restaurants around Berkshire and this is defiantly one of my favourites. Try Spice Master out, you won’t be disappointed!"
3. The Tamarind Tree, Wokingham (4.5/5*)
Located on Peach Street, The Tamarind Tree has a near perfect TripAdvisor score.
One reviewer said: "A regular dinner stop for us.
"Certainly the best Indian food around Wokingham and very friendly staff.
"Social distancing was maintained and customers temperature checked on entry.
"Thoroughly recommended."
4. Mr Todiwalas Kitchen, Slough (4.5/5*)
Moving further along the county to Slough, Mr Todiwalas Kitchen is also among the top 5.
One review reads: "We arrived to the Hilton late at night and decided to go for a late supper to Mr. Todiwala’s Kitchen.
"What a great choice!! We were taken care of by Monty, he was exceptional and recommended a few great items for us.
"We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and would definitely recommend to anyone staying at the Hilton.

5. Cardamom Indian Bistro, Pangbourne (4.5/5*)
Revisiting Pangbourne, Cardamom Indian Bistro is another popular choice.
One reviewer said the restaurant was 'consistently great', adding: "Have visited this restaurant on a number of occasions now and food and service consistently excellent.
"Would really recommend for food that is a little different from mainstream Indian restaurants."
6. Shahi Restaurant, Bracknell (4.5/5*)
Wildridings in Bracknell offers one of the best rated Indian restaurants in the town.
One review said it is the "best curry house ever".
It went on: "Went here with my folks last week, we must have eaten 5,000 curries between us.
"Literally blown away by this food.

Reviewers have praised the feel of the place as well as the food, with one saying: "Ala and family always make us feel welcome, wonderful atmosphere and fantastic food.

8. Rajbhoog, Ascot (4/5*)
Located in the High Street of Sunninghill, Rajbhoog is another loved Berkshire curry house.
One reviewer described it as their "favourite place to eat", adding: "Outstanding service, so kind and friendly and the food is always fantastic! I always have the seafood sizzler and it never disappoints!"
9. Miah's - Garden of Gulab, Reading (4/5*)
Another Reading restaurant, Miah's has also scored a near perfect rating on TripAdvisor.
One glowing review reads: "We were warmly greeted, and asked for our contact details for the track and trace, there was also sanitisers for our hands.
"We were then guided and seated at a lovely table near the window.
"We are both vegans and there was lots of choices on the menu, it took a while to decide what we wanted.
"There is a lovely atmosphere, and our food came quickly, once we had completed the lovely poppadums' that we had as a starter.
"The food was really well presented, and the portions are very generous.
"The taste was amazing, and so filling, that we could not finish it all, and had to have containers to take some home.
"I have often passed this restaurant, but never realised that inside would be so wonderful, with such great food. This will now be my go to restaurant for Indian cuisine."

10. Dhaulagiri Kitchen, Reading (4.5/5*)
Dhaulagiri Kitchen, on Basingstoke Road, also have an array of glowing reviews.
It has been described as a "hidden gem".
The reviewer also said: "Went here with the family yesterday 30th August, what a great place.
"The family who run it are so friendly and the food was out of this world!!
"We had the Nepalese Street foods which was flavourful and completely different to your average curry and Chinese food.
"Highly recommended you will not be disappointed."
