A TOWN CENTRE pub has been temporarily closed while the results of a Covid-19 tests are awaited.
The Allied Arms in St Mary's Butts has a sign placed on the door announcing that the partner of a key staff member has been tested for the virus, and that the pub would remain closed in the meantime.

The sign reads: "As a precaution we will be closed temporarily while awaiting a Covid-19 test result for the partner of a key member of staff.
"Apologies for the inconvenience, we will update you when we know more."
It comes weeks after The Crown Pub at Play Hatch was closed after a customer who had visited tested positive for coronavirus.

The pub made a statement on its Facebook page on August 27 with the news, stating that the pub would be closed for a deep clean.
