A MODEL from Reading is representing Great Britain in an international beauty pageant taking place this December.

Charlotte Nash, 22, from Burghfield Common will be taking part in Miss Elite World in its first ever competition.

She explained her title is Miss Elite GB and she will be the only contestant from the UK.

The competition is due to be held at the Four Seasons in Cairo, Egypt, this December.

Currently, there are 28 different nationalities taking part.

Charlotte said: "I’m very excited to be flying to Egypt to compete but also very nervous, this is the biggest pageant I’ve competed in!"

The 22-year-old said she started pageantry in 2018 where she competed in regionals for Miss England and Miss Swimsuit UK.

She added: "Today’s pageants are more about female empowerment and being able to spread the message of multiple charities and woman’s rights across the world.

"I love meeting other women with similar passions.

"The build up towards the day is always really fun, but in this case we have a week in Somabay doing press, activities and photoshoots before we go to Cairo for the final event!"

Charlotte explained she has been modelling since she was 18 years old and has been in various magazines and publications for beauty, fashion and swimwear modelling.

She has also modelled internationally such as in Spain, Miami, Paris and Australia.

Charlotte explained she has started acting and has featured in Rocketman and Misbehaviour.
