THIEVES have been targetting garages in West Reading prompting the police to issue an alert to the public.
Thames Valley Police said over the past week there have been a "number of garages broken into in the West Reading area".
The force said locks are being forced and bikes have been stolen.

It added the West Reading Neighbourhood Team and Reading Priority Team at Reading Police Station are asking residents to check their garage security and garden security.
Police said the following roads have had incidents: Inglewood Court, Hollins Walk, Josephine Court and Waverley Court.
It said most of these offences are happening overnight.
Issuing a TVP alert, police said: "Please register your valuables at www.immobilise.com and encourage friends, family and neighbours to receive this type of message by registering at www.thamesvalleyalert.co.uk.

"Please report any suspicious incidents, sightings or any information to The Thames Valley Police Enquiry Centre on 101, also please consider Ringcam, Dashcam or CCTV Cameras."
