LAST week, we asked readers what the best restaurant in Reading was, as well as their favourite cuisine.
As a big town teeming with all kinds of eateries, from popular chains to unique independents, it's no surprise that the town is full of foodies - and readers were keen to give their views on the grub the town has to offer.

More than 100 voted in a poll asking 'what is your favourite cuisine?'
Although a relatively even spread, Italian was the winner, with 27 per cent of the votes.
This was followed closely by 'other' (26 per cent), then Indian (23 per cent) Chinese (18 per cent) and Mexican (six per cent).
Responding to their favourite places to eat, there was no consensus - but this just means that Reading has a great variety on offer, with something to suit all tastebuds.
Helen Serrano opted for Carluccio's; Marjorie Salcedo went for Japanese restaurant Osaka; Sara Grech said Las Iguanas; Harish Raichura said Reading Tandori; Louisa Lee voted for Sushimania; Carmen Smith went with Orwell's and Mikey Russel chose The Black Boy, Shinfield, adding: "Always delivers great food and service."

Although there's no clear winner, one certainty is that locals appreciate a good meal out, whether by The Oracle Riverside or at a country pub.
