A GROUP of teenagers assaulted and robbed a man in Central Reading yesterday evening, urging police to appeal for witnesses.
The victim, a man in his thirties, was outside of the Bel & Dragon pub, Gaswork Road, Reading, was assaulted on the street by a number of young men, described as seven or eight males between 17 and 18 years old.

The victim was robbed of his mobile phone, his bank card, his passport and a ring worth £1,500.
He also received head and facial injuries, which required hospital treatment. He remains in hospital at this time.
It is unclear whether the victim met the attackers on Kings Road, by Jacksons Corner, Reading Town Centre.

Designated Investigator Zoe Purnell, based at Reading police station, said: “I am appealing to anyone who has any information about this incident to get in touch.
