HERE are five of the big stories you may have missed from this week:

2) University Technical College Reading announces two students have tested positive for Covid-19
A college in Reading has announced that two of its students have now tested positive for Covid-19.

3) Reading homes left without water as Thames Water apologises
What a nightmare!
Hundreds of homes across Reading were left with no water or low pressure on October 6, as Thames Water said it is working on the issue and the provision of emergency supplies.
Areas in the town centre, as well as addresses in Earley, Shinfield, Sonning, Woodley, Goring, Newbury, Theale and Calcot (RG1, RG2, RG4, RG6, RG8, RG18, RG30, RG31), have been affected.
4) More than 2,000 objections to Reading Golf Club 260-homes plan, campaigners say
More than 2,000 people have now objected to plans for hundreds of homes at Reading Golf Club, according to campaigners.
A data map by Keep Emmer Green (KEG), who are campaigning against the 260-home development, shows roughly 2,068 people have objected to the proposal, with 127 people supporting the plan.
5) Charlie Ilsley flying to Mexico for more cancer treatment
Campaigning efforts to raise money for a teenage boy’s cancer treatment have stepped up a gear as his mum fears “he will not be here for much longer” if he doesn't receive further treatment.
