A supermarket in Reading is seeking to open and sell booze non-stop.
Morrisons has applied for a licence to open its Rose Kiln Lane, 300 Basingstoke Road, store continuously to sell alcohol and hot food and drink around the clock.
The supermarket’s current opening hours are Monday – Saturday, 7am–11pm, and Sundays from 10am–4pm.

Morrisons has applied for a variation to its current premises licence, asking for ‘Late-Night Refreshment’ (11pm-5am) and supply of alcohol at all hours, seven days a week.
All businesses need ‘Late-Night Refreshment’ permission to serve hot food or drink to the public, for consumption on or off the premises, between 11pm and 5am.

Currently the store does not open past 11pm and so has not needed ‘Late-Night Refreshment’ permission.
