CHRISTCHURCH Gardens remains closed both ways due to water main work.
The work, which started two days ago, is taking place between B3031 Basingstoke Road and Northumberland Avenue until October 23.

Reading Buses service five is being diverted.
Reading Borough Council (RBC) said this morning (October 21) that a team was taking advantage of the closure to fix a carriageway hotspot area.

Posting a photo of its Twitter page, RBC said: "Our Reading Council Street Works Team have taken advantage of a Thames Water road closure within Christchurch Gardens to fix a known carriageway hotspot area. #partnershipworking."
