Two elderly residents have died in a coronavirus outbreak at a care home in Wokingham.
Shinfield View Care Home in Wokingham Borough confirmed yesterday (November 3) that two elderly residents passed away after catching Covid-19.

The care home has also confirmed that 27 elderly residents had also tested positive for the killer virus.
Eight residents are showing symptoms.
Andrew Winstanley, CEO of Berkley Care Group, owner of Shinfield View Care Home, said: “We are completely devastated to say goodbye to two of our friends and our love and prayers are with the families of those who have passed.
"Please be assured that we are doing everything we possibly can as a team to ensure the outbreak is being brought under control as quickly as possible in the safest and most effective way and we wish to thank relatives for their support and understanding."

Shinfield View Care Home also said 18 staff members had tested positive and are self-isolating as a result.
Mr Winstanley added: “All necessary regional health bodies have been contacted and we are working tirelessly to support our residents and their families.”
Families have been assured that tests will continue to be carried out regularly and each resident is being barrier nursed.
All families with residents in Shinfield View have been informed and are being kept up-to-date.
