A TOTAL of 291 staff and students have tested positive for coronavirus at the University of Reading (UoR), latest figures show.
The university's Covid-19 dashboard dated Monday, November 23, shows that 291 students and staff have tested positive for the virus since the beginning of the 20/21 academic year which started on September 28, 2020.

This is a running total of positive cases reported to the university and includes cases that are no longer 'active'.
The figures show 17 staff have tested positive and 274 students.
The number of daily new cases stands at two. This is the number of new Covid-19 positive test results reported to the university from students and staff in the previous 24 hours.
The seven-day rolling total of reported cases is 22 - this gives an indication of the number of current 'active' cases.
The university last week revealed its Christmas plans for students including when they can return home.
The UoR has said face-to-face teaching will end on or before December 9 and all remaining teaching will be moved online until the end of term on December 11.

The university is advising students to return home within the 'travel window' as proposed by the government which is between December 3 and December 9.
However it added this is providing they have not received a recent positive test result or have been told to self-isolate.
