READING is one of the most sought-after locations in the south east for housing.
But homes don't come cheap.

Zoopla estimates the average price for a house in Reading as £412,897.
In some areas of town, there are also some staggeringly expensive mansions for those with the deepest pockets.
According to house buying site Zoopla, these are Reading's top five most expensive streets.

1. Ferry Lane, Wargrave, Reading RG10 - average price £2,160,224
2. Bridle Way, Goring, Reading RG8 - average price £2,070,947
3. Broad Street, Reading RG1 - average price £2,028,439
4. Mill Lane, Kidmore End, Reading RG4 - average price £2,021,318
5. Collins End, Reading RG8 - average price £1,922,883
Zoopla has also rounded-up the streets with the highest turnover - ie the ones where houses go up for sale most frequently.
That is worked out by dividing the number of sales over the last 5 years (excluding new build properties) by the number of homes in a given area.
The 5 highest turnover streets are:
1. Champlain Street, Reading RG2 - 101.3%
2. Massachusetts Place, Reading RG2 - 100.0%
3. New Hampshire Street, Reading RG2 - 92.3%
4. Brian Dowding Court, Tilehurst, Reading RG31 - 81.8%
5. Short Street, Caversham, Reading RG4 - 72.7%
