READING Buses announced how their buses will operate over Christmas to help customers fully prepare for the festive season.
The operator has published its Christmas guide to bus services on its website.
Chief Executive Officer Robert Williams has outlined what will happen on each day of the holiday period.

He said: “On Christmas Eve, most buses will run a normal Thursday service with an early finish around 8.00 pm.
"Our 24/7 services; emerald 5 and 6, purple 17, claret 21 and yellow 26 will have extra buses until around 11.15 pm.
“On Christmas Day, all our wonderful employees will be having a well-earned rest so there will be no buses.
"However, on Boxing Day, we are pleased to announce that buses will run to a special service from approximately 9.00 am to 7.00 pm.
“On December 27 and 28 there will be normal Sunday timetables in operation.
"Whereas December 29 and 30, sees Saturday timetables apply.
“On New Year’s Eve (December 31) we pleased to announce that Saturday timetables will operate with all late evening journeys on orange 13, purple 17 and claret 21 that have remained suspended during the pandemic running as normal for this one night only.
“There will be Sunday timetables on New Year’s Day and then on January 2 normal services will resume.”

Robert added: “The full timetables are available for customers online and printed leaflets will be on the buses very shortly.
“We sincerely hope our customers enjoy their Christmas responsibly and that we shall see lots of festive face coverings.
“Face coverings, in any case, are a legal requirement when travelling on our buses.”
