BERKSHIRE enters Tier 3 – the tightest restrictions – the Government has confirmed.
Slough entered ‘very high’ alert level after national lockdown ended on December 2. Today, Matt Hancock has confirmed all local authorities in Berkshire will enter Tier 3 too.

The following Tier 3 rules will apply:
- Pubs and restaurants will be closed except for delivery and takeaway only. In the old Tier-system, they were allowed to open if they provided a substantial meal.
- No mixing with people you don’t live or not in your support bubble indoors or outdoors in hospitality venues or private gardens.
- Indoor entertainment venues such as cinemas will remain closed.
- Spectator sports cannot resume in Tier 3.
- Rule of six applies in outdoor public spaces such as parks.
- Places of worship remain open – but cannot interact with anyone outside the people you live with or support bubble.
- Schools and universities remain open.
- 15 guests for weddings, civil partnerships, and wakes. Receptions are not permitted.
- Funerals can have up to 30 people.
- Everyone who can work from home should do.
- Non-essential shops, gyms, and personal care services will all reopen.
