The following cases were heard at Reading Magistrates’ Courts:

November 18:

KEVIN GEORGE, 35, of Howell Close, Reading, admitted drink-driving in Windsor Road, Windsor, on September 29. Found to have 49mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath, the legal limit being 35mcg. Fined £120. Also ordered to pay £34 victim surcharge and £85 court costs. Disqualified from driving for 14 months.

GAVIN GRIGOR, 35, of Ringwood Road, Reading, admitted drug-driving in Gosbrook Road, Reading, on March 11. Found to have cannabis in his blood. Fined £120. Also ordered to pay £32 victim surcharge and £85 court costs. Disqualified from driving for 12 months.

November 19 ANDREW HADWICK, 40, of Russell Street, Reading, admitted using threatening or abusive words of behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm, or distress in Friar Street, Reading on August 8. Fined £120. Also ordered to pay £34 victim surcharge.

RAJA HUSSAIN, 50 of Hamilton Road, Reading, admitted failing to provide a specimen for analysis when asked to as driver of a vehicle. Also admitted to failing to surrender to custody at Reading Magistrates’ Court having been released on bail on October 26. Given a community order to comply with rehabilitation activity and must carry out 100 hours of unpaid work. Also ordered to pay £95 victim surcharge and £85 court costs. Disqualified from driving for 30 months.

COLIN BLACK, 27, of Oakley Road, Newbury, admitted fraud by false representation by dishonestly using a stolen debit card to by goods worth £46 in Theale on June 2. Also admitted stealing a handbag and debit cards from Mecure Newbury West Grange Hotel, Newbury, on June 2, and admitted three charges of contacting a person from which you were prohibited from doing so in Hampshire on October 13, July 5, and on one charge between October 16 and October 17. Given a community order to comply with drug rehabilitation. Also ordered to pay £150 compensation GARY STEELE, 43, of Ian Mikardo Way, Caversham, admitted drug-driving in Elm Lane, Earley in Reading, on December 16, 2019. Found to have cannabis in his system. Fined £120. Also ordered to pay £32 victim surcharge and £150 court costs. Disqualified from driving for 12 months.
