MORE than 46,000 people have tested positive for coronavirus in Berkshire.
In the past 24 hours, Public Health England has recorded 501 lab-confirmed cases in areas including Reading, Bracknell, Wokingham, West Berkshire, Slough and Windsor and Maidenhead.
These figures, correct as of Sunday, January 24 at 4pm, bring the county's lab-confirmed positive Covid-19 tests total to 46,529, according to Public Health England.

The local breakdown for the past 24 hours as follows:
Reading - 125 cases, 9,001 total
West Berkshire - 52 cases, 5,103 total
Bracknell -56 cases, 5,923 total
Wokingham - 58 cases, 6,940 total
Slough - 151 cases, 12,442 total
Windsor and Maidenhead - 59 cases, 7,120 total
There have now been 3,647,463 people across the UK who have tested positive for Covid-19.
The latest seven-day rate per 100,000 people locally are as follows:
Reading - 615.7
West Berkshire - 265.7
Bracknell - 361.5
Wokingham - 318.5
Slough - 879.4
Windsor and Maidenhead - 346.1
This means for the second day in a row, the seven-day rate per 100,000 people across Berkshire has decreased.

In today's national coronavirus news:
Government data up to January 23 shows of the 6,822,981 jabs given in the UK so far, 6,353,321 were first doses – a rise of 491,970 on the previous day’s figures.
