A new burger restaurant and takeaway could take over from an estate agents near the town centre.
Fat Twins, which currently has two sites, has submitted plans to the council to take over 109a Oxford Road, currently home to estate agents Mr Sales and Lettings.
The franchise company is looking to open the ‘burger bar’ from 7am – 2am, seven days a week.
On its website, Fat Twins says it currently has restaurants in Oldham and London, with two more stores on the way in London and Manchester.
But the franchise is also looking to open in Reading, seeking a change of use to the current unit on Oxford Road.
The company has also begun advertising for staff for a new restaurant in Slough.
The application to take over the Oxford Road unit is for a ‘change of use from an estate agent use class E to a restaurant and hot food takeaway sui generis use class’.
