THAMES Valley Police have formally identified the victim at the centre of a murder investigation in Reading.
Raheem Hanif, a 26-year-old man from Tilehurst, died after reports of a fight in Dulnan Close, Tilehurst, on Saturday, February 6.

Police were called to the incident at around 7pm following reports of an altercation, and today confirmed that Mr Hanif died of his injuries, despite the work of emergency services and members of the public at the scene.
The force said a post-morten examination took place yesterday, February 9, and the cause of death was confirmed as a stab wound to the upper chest.

A 16-year-old boy from Reading, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has been charged in connection to the incident and appeared at Reading Magistrates Court earlier today.
Mr Hanif's family are being supported by trained officers, and they have asked that their privacy is respected at this difficult time.
