THESE are the 17 restaurants, takeaways and shops with the lowest food hygiene ratings in the Berkshire district.
These venues have received zero or one ratings from the Food Standards Agency, highlighting the need for urgent improvement and major improvement.
One venue has received a zero rating from the FSA, highlighting an urgent need to sort out hygiene and food safety standards at the venues.
Every business listed below was given an inspection result in the last year by inspectors who investigated the hygiene of food handling, the cleanliness and condition of the facilities and building, and the management of food safety, and every one of these businesses performed badly in one or more of these areas.

The ratings system is designed to give customers a clear understanding of the hygiene standards at businesses they visit, and is displayed for every business online and in their premises.

The Food Standards Agency says "all businesses should be able to achieve the to rating of 5", and those that don't are issued with help and guidance to improve their rating.
