Offices in south Reading, near the Madejski Stadium, could be converted into 49 flats.

Bennet Court is two detached office buildings, and an application has been submitted for each of the buildings.

Plot one will become 27 flats plot two will become 22 flats, under the plans.
Permitted development laws mean offices can be converted into housing without the need for planning permission if they meet certain prior approval criteria.
The developer will just need prior approval from the council, which will assess if it meets the criteria.

The plans include 76 car parking spaces and 25 cycle spaces for residents.
All the flats will meet and exceed new space standards set to come into law on April 6.
Under the new national law, new homes must be at least 37sqm in size.
The new Green Park Station, due to open sometime this year, will be around 25 minutes walk from the offices.
