PICTURES show a security fence is being installed round the Banksy artwork on Reading Gaol.
Photos from PA show workers carrying the fences and placing them by the artwork.
The Ministry of Justice confirmed it had organised the fencing to be put up.
The mural on the side of Reading Gaol appeared earlier this month and has been confirmed as a Banksy.

It depicts a prisoner escaping from the gaol using a rope of bed sheets tied to a typewriter.
The image prompted many people to think it was infamous inmate Oscar Wilde.
The mural was defaced this week with red paint.
The typewriter was covered and the words 'Team Robbo' painted below.
