Remember a time when every town had a police station?
Bobbies on the beat would regularly be seen walking up and down the neighbourhood, always on hand to cuff vigilantes or say hello to locals.
But to many, those days seem like far distant memories as 24 out of 60 stations have shut across the Thames Valley.
Here are some of the local police stations which have closed for good over the years.

Langley Police Station
The police station – which is located on the corner of the High Street and Trewlawney Avenue – has been vacant since July 2018 following the relocation of Thames Valley Police to the main police headquarters building in Slough town centre.
At the time, superintendent Gavin Wong, area commander for Slough, added: “We would always like more stations – but one of the things about Slough is that it’s quite small.
“When we did lose Langley, it wasn’t as impactful as we thought it was going to be. It wasn’t as bad to be fair.”
Hungerford Police Station
Theale Police station
The Thames Valley Police museum relocated to Theale Police Station.
The museum's collections include items from the Great Train Robbery of 1963, uniforms, equipment, medals, photographs, scenes of crime evidence, and occurrence and charge books.
