YOU can never predict the British weather so pubs have been imaginative and prepared for outdoor dining as they open up.
Outdoor marquees and gazebos have been seen in pub gardens and outside restaurants across Reading.
Here are four places in Reading that have marquees, gazebos and pods ready for you to grab a drink in or sit down for a meal.

Walkabout
Walkabout in Reading has plenty of shelter from the rain with tables spaced apart to allow for social distancing.
There's even a special Heineken pod you can sit in to keep you warm.
Purple Turtle
Outdoor seating is available at Purple Turtle for up to six people. The outdoor area is decorated with pretty fairy lights, perfect for taking snaps with your friends and family.
Performances or film showing cannot commence until 17 May. From 17 May, the bar will be back as a venue, hosting live music, DJ nights, comedy, theatre, film and comedy 7 days a week.
The Last Crumb, Caversham
One of Reading's recently refurbished pubs is the Last Crumb and they are offering outdoor sheltered seating.
The menu includes breakfast and brunch options and a selection of burgers, pizzas (cooked in a wood fired pizza oven) and sides to enjoy.

The pub also offers house cocktails, craft beers and home-made spirits and happy hours after work.
Allied Arms, Reading
There is a marquee and large parasol at the back of the Allied arms to keep people dry from the weather.
It's a popular little pub in the heart of Reading town centre which dates back to the 16th Century.
