LATE-NIGHT supermarket shoppers were given a surprise last night as armed police descended on the Sainsbury's car park in Calcot.
Officers were spotted outside the supermarket, off Bath Road, at about 9.30pm.
Shoppers were reportedly forced to stay indoors while the action outside unfolded.
Pictures show several officers at the scene while police can be seen making an arrest outside the entrance to the store.
It was reportedly over fairly swiftly with customers, who had been kept inside during, being allowed to leave some ten minutes later.
