A CANNABIS factory has been discovered in Caversham today after forensics teams were spotted scouring a home.
Neighbours reported seeing a large police presence in the area yesterday and a scene watch remains in place today.
Police found heaps of cannabis in a property in Church Road, Caversham at about 2.15pm and seized an air weapon too.
As a result, a 34-year-old man from Reading was arrested on suspicion of cultivating cannabis and possession of a firearm without a certificate. He remains in police custody.

A 40-year-old man from Reading was also arrested on suspicion of being concerned in making of an offer to supply another a controlled drug of class B – cannabis and producing a controlled drug of class B – cannabis.
He remains in police custody.
It comes after police found two cannabis farms in total.
One in Brookers Hill, Shinfield where officers seized around 800 to 1000 plants within the property.
The road had to be closed for a short time and electricity was lost to a number of houses in the local area whilst the electrics were made safe.
Forensic vans can seen parked in Church Road, outside Caversham Court Gardens.
While officers in white suits appear to be scouring the inside of a home further along the road towards St Anne's Road, with police officers outside.
Detective Inspector Laura Corscadden, of CID based at Reading police station, said: “We are carrying out a thorough investigation following the discovery of these two cannabis factories.
“As a result of these there are scene watches in place and local residents may see an increased police presence in the area over the next few days.
“If anyone has any information about drug crime in their area then I would urge them to report it to police by making a report online or calling 101.
