A NEW crash map has revealed that 59 car crashes on the Black Boy Roundabout have been reported to police in recent years.
The interactive online map created by the road safety experts, CrashMap, highlights the location of every collision on the roads in a given period.
The detailed tool reveals not only the severity of the crash – slight, serious or fatal – but also when it took place, the number of vehicles involved, and the number of casualties reported.
The data used is taken directly from official government statistics, which is based on records submitted to them by the police.

It comes as no surprise that Black Boy Roundabout has had its fair share of crashes over the past 22 years.
A total of 59 crashes on the roundabout have been reported to the police in the years from 1999 to 2020, but the maps does not include data for 2021, meaning the actual figure could be higher.

The majority of crashes reported have been "slight" but the numbers also include multiple serious crashes and one fatal crash.
Last week, the Reading Chronicle asked readers which are Reading's most dangerous roads.
One suggestion was the Black Boy roundabout due to how dangerous and confusing it can be.
Multiple crashes have happened at the roundabout with a biker who had a near miss with a car last year in January.
The roundabout itself is notorious for learner drivers to practice driving at a tricky junction ahead of their tests.
