WITH summer fast approaching and coronavirus restrictions easing, many of us will be looking forward to relaxing with friends and family in the coming months.
Perhaps a trip to an outdoor pool is even on the cards.
If you're looking for somewhere to visit that is within one hour of Reading, then these three lidos might be ones to try.

Northcroft Leisure Centre in Newbury
Berkshire's largest open air pool is due to reopen on June 21.
Pre booking of all sessions is being introduced for 2021 to ensure that shared areas such as changing rooms don’t become too crowded and people can enjoy their swim safely.

The lido will be open
Monday to Friday - 7.15am to 8.45am, 11.00am to 2.30pm, 3.30pm to 7.00pm.
Weekends and Bank Holidays -10.00am to 1.30pm, 2.30pm to 6.00pm.
There will also be a 'Twilight Session' on Thursday evenings from 7.30 until 9pm.

Aldershot Lido, Guildford Road
According to Rushmoor Borough Council's website, Aldershot Lido will reopen from early July until early September.
The pool has slides for people to enjoy and a water fountain within the pool.
Guildford Lido, Lido Road
Guildford Lido reopened on March 29.
The facility has a pool and smaller pool with slides for younger visitors.
Thames Lido, Napier Road
Thames Lido's website explains teams there are working to reopen the lido without restrictions from June 21.
Currently, the Lido swimming pool is open but only to members through a booking system.
