A MAN who smashed a window at the Royal Berks before he assaulted two police officers will not go to jail.
Toby Ashraf, of Alexandra Road, Reading admitted to causing the damage and attacking the officers in Reading on April 23.

But the 19-year-old will not go to jail for damaging the window and assaulting the officers -- instead, he will be forced to pay out fines and compensation.

For breaking the window at the Royal Berkshire Hospital, he was ordered to pay a £184 fine and compensation of £500.
Assaulting the officers landed him with orders to pay compensation of £250 altogether.

In addition to these payouts, Ashraf was told to take part in up to 20 rehabilitation activity days.
He appeared at Reading Magistrates’ Court on Monday, June 14.
