A TRIAL date has been set for a woman charged in connection with a one-month-old baby boy's death.
Chantelle Stroud, 25, of Ashridge Court, Newbury, appeared in Reading Magistrates' Court yesterday (June 29) after police launched a murder investigation following the death of baby Colby Lawton.
The one-month-old baby died on May 9, 2020 in Newbury, West Berkshire.
Stroud was charged with one count of causing or allowing the death of a child, and one count of assault, ill-treatment, neglect, or abandoning a child to cause unnecessary suffering.

The 25-year-old is set to appear at Reading Crown Court on Tuesday, July 27, in connection with the death of the baby boy.
Police also charged James Lawton, 27, of Boreham Field, Warminster, Wiltshire on Tuesday, May 25, with one count of murder and one count of GBH with intent in relation to the incident.
