A RAPIST who preyed on his victim whilst she was asleep has been jailed.
Arron Jackson, 27 of Grovelands Road, Reading, was found guilty by a majority jury at Reading Crown Court on Thursday, April 29.
In 2010, Jackson visited a woman's home in Berkshire to watch a film with her.
The court heard how the victim had fallen asleep and she woke up to find Jackson was raping her. He then left her home.
Jackson was finally charged on March 20, 2020, 10 years after the rape had happened.

On Friday, June 25, he was sentenced to six years' and six months’ imprisonment at Aylesbury Crown Court and will be placed on Sex Offenders Register for life.
Investigating officer, Detective Constable Kevin Godding of CID based at Reading police station, said: “I am pleased that Jackson has been convicted and sentenced for his crime.
“The victim has shown great courage to come forward and report this crime and I would like to thank her for supporting our investigation leading to Jackson’s imprisonment.

“I hope that this conviction shows that Thames Valley Police will do all it can to investigate sexual offences and bring offenders to justice.
